“There are 40 million internet users in the Arab, with the UAE enjoying the highest penetration rate reaching more than 50% of the population,” he said.
Al Nuaimi also stressed that the new ACMD website represents an effective promotion and awareness tool that will project Ajman to the world and provide it with additional information on the emirate.
“We will have the opportunity to interact with people worldwide, interact and exchange ideas and better promote Ajman and the UAE,” he pointed out.
Clif Collier, Managing Director Fifth Ring pointed out that ACMD site will be in Arabic and English language and will be interactive.
“Visitors to the site will enjoy its latest visual and sound features that are similar to applications we created for large multinational corporations. This is the first time we work with a government authority and I applaud ACMD for their unique vision and forward thinking in developing such an advanced site,” he said.
Kaltham Al Mandous, Director of Media and Government Communication Department who is managing this project said that the website design and set up will be completed in three stages and reflect the cultural and history of Ajman and increase awareness of its tourism potential.
“The site will document and highlight, in an interactive way, ACMD’s role in sectors of culture, media and tourism that are expected to witness to grow rapidly during the coming period,” she added.
According to Al Mandous, the project which will take eight months to be completed, will offer its visitors a 3D interactive display of Ajman museum.
